On your marks, get ready…

The show is written and rehearsed, music is mixed, previews are finished…now we’ve just got to get some people to park their bums in The Loft @ Zoo Roxy at 5:15pm.
That is of course the difficult bit. We know what’s in store…hours of leafleting unsuspecting and suspecting public as they traverse the town in search of entertainment of the highest order.
Is it funny? That’ll be a question we have to learn how to turn into a positive.
I saw that last year ...This is a statement I hear quite often. Tempting as it is to beat them over the head with their Fringe programme whilst exclaiming loudly…I only wrote the f**king thing last week…this is not the best response. Instead a mature, calm…well I think you’ll really enjoy this version is what we’ll be aiming for. So if you’re in Edinburgh and you’re handed a leaflet for Slender Threads please give a big smile, followed by…I’m going to book my tickets now…If you can say this in a large public area on a megaphone then even better.
But don’t take my word for it. The following quote popped up on our Fb page…
you MUST see it on the Edinburgh Fringe in August. Very simply it's a magnificent piece of theatre: a warm, funny, inventive and incredibly moving portrayal of a family clinging together through the adversity of illness. Never sentimental, always true to those whose lives it portrays, Slender Threads tells its story with passion, emotion and grace. Wonderful performances, creative choreography, moving original music and sumptuous visuals combine to make truly great theatre. A difficult subject to tackle; but difficult subjects handled with subtlety and imagination make the best theatre. Slender Threads is right up there. See it.
